The Law of Wet Nails.......

I am not a manicure person......pedicures are a different story.  You can rub  my feet forever, then put some neon color on my toes.  But my fingernails....no.  Just clear polish is great.  Thus I do them myself.  Here's the thing.  I paint them....then feel a compulsion to do something.  Invariably I ruin them and have to start over....maybe I decide to make the bed...maybe I decide to wipe off a cabinet, maybe I decide to vacuum the rugs, maybe I decide to load the dishwasher or washing machine, maybe I decide to sweep the porch........or maybe I just can't stand it, and touch them to see if they're dry.  And they are NEVER dry when I touch them.  Thus the Law of Wet Nails.........I'll ruin them everytime.  Good thing I like clear polish!!

Burglary........

Someone has stolen my coffee cup..at work.  Not a huge burlary......certainly not a felony.  But really....stealing a coffee cup?  They probably think that coffee will taste better out of it, because it's a heavy mug.  Feels great in your hand.  Keeps the coffee hot a long time.  Good-looking mug.  I wonder if the other 25 random coffee cups that sit in the cabinet by the coffee pot just didn't suit them. I wonder if they don't like me therefore feel the need to steal my mug.  I wonder if they think they can walk down the hall with it and I won't notice.  I wonder if there is someone in the building with my first name and just couldn't stand it without a coffee cup with their name on it.  Since I know everyone who works here, I'm gonna mark the last  two possibilities out.  The others I'll keep open to speculation.  Damn!  I loved that coffee mug.

Having Lost My Mind.............

I'm just going to admit this......I started a Blog over a year ago and completely forgot about it.......sshhhhhhhhhhhh.......don't tell.

Well, Fun Times!

I"m going out on a limb here.  Never blogged, but I have had a cup of coffee and a glass or wine.......or two.  Nothing is more fun than to grab one and sit with your friends and chatter.  Most of the time what you chatter about is not important.  It's the getting together over a beverage and enjoying the moment.  I think these moments are slipping away. So my advice for this day is MAKE IT HAPPEN. 
Now.....that  I've written this.  I'm going on to figure out what else to do with this blog.
